Class Representatives

Class Representatives (DOC) play a vital role in fostering community among their peers, enhancing the PharmD student experience, and addressing class-wide challenges both inside and outside the classroom. They collaborate closely with the Office of Student Services (OSS), Education Coordinators, Faculty Class Advisors, and College Board to address challenges and explore new opportunities. Two class representatives per class, per campus, are elected for a 1-year term and can be re-elected at the end of the first and second years. P2s will elect class representatives to serve the P3 and P4 years.

Faculty Class Advisors (DOC) work to build community and strengthen connections between students and faculty, and within and across class cohorts and campuses. They engage in efforts to provide the faculty perspective on resolving challenges that PharmD cohorts face. They help establish and uphold community expectations and support professional identity formation throughout the cohort’s curricular experience. Beginning with orientation, this role partners with OSS to ensure the cohort receives support and guidance to enhance their success and well-being in the program and career in pharmacy.
