The Occupational Therapist Centralized Application Service (OTCAS) is a national application to apply to most Occupational Therapy Programs in the United States.

Several things happen during verification:

If significant mistakes are found in your application during the verification process, your application will be undelivered, or returned to you for corrections.

Once all of your required application materials are received, your application's status changes to Complete, and your application is placed in line to be verified. Verifications occur in chronological order and can take up to 10 business days to complete. Once your application is verified, you will receive a notification and your application's status will change to Verified.

  • All official college transcripts
  • Foreign transcript evaluation, if applicable
  • TOEFL (or other approved exam) scores, if applicable
  • OTCAS Personal statement
  • Short answer essay responses
  • Work & volunteer experience
  • 3 evaluations (letters of recommendation) - required by OTCAS but not part of the UM’s OTD application review process
  • Demographic information
