Campus Preference and Assignment

The program is accredited for two performance sites, which include Rochester and the Twin Cities locations.  Students can request the environment that best suits their needs. Our hybrid instruction model allows for faculty to teach the same courses and content at both performance sites. Students typically come to campus for 2-3 consecutive days every other week for labs and 1-2 days per week for Level I fieldwork experiences at a location closest to their assigned performance site. Level I fieldwork dates and times could be variable based on the setting.  In the OTCAS application, you will select your campus preference. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions about our two campuses. We encourage you to visit our sites.

Applicants will indicate their campus preference on the OTCAS application by choosing one of the following options:

  • Rochester

  • Twin Cities

  • No preference

Choice of performance site does not impact your application review. However, in the event that your preferred site fills with applicants, you may be placed on a waitlist. By selecting “no preference,” you are indicating your willingness to be placed on either site.
