PhD Candidate Kelsey Holdaway Receives AFPE Fellowship

August 10, 2023

Kelsey Holdaway

The Medicinal Chemistry Department is proud to recognize PhD candidate Kelsey Holdaway, who received the Dr. Paul B. Myrdal Memorial Pre-Doctoral Fellowship from the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE).

The Pre-Doctoral Fellowships support PhD candidates, allowing them to focus their time fully on their research project. Kelsey works with the esteemed Dr. Gunda Georg in her laboratory.

AFPE supports the education of pharmaceutical scientists and strengthens pharmacy education at U.S. schools of pharmacy through scholarships and fellowships that provide recognition and financial support to outstanding pharmaceutical science graduate students, PharmD candidates, and pharmacy faculty researchers. AFPE uses annual tax-deductible contributions from corporations, foundations, associations, alumni, friends, and former Fellows to support the robust pharmaceutical education scholarship and fellowship programs.

Congratulations, Kelsey! We are thrilled to see your continued scientific and academic efforts being recognized.
