Message from the Dean
Welcome to the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy
Our college houses some of the nation's top researchers and educates some of the brightest students in the nation.
We are the only college of pharmacy in Minnesota. We have campuses in the Twin Cities and in Duluth, which helps us better serve the needs of Minnesotans, especially those in rural areas.
At the college, we:
- Develop new drugs to treat diseases such as cancer and AIDS
- Provide statistical and socioeconomic information to lawmakers and industry leaders
- Are recognized as one of the outstanding pharmacy education and research institutions in the world
The college's programs are supported by centers of excellence in diverse areas of pharmacy, such as pharmaceutics, geriatrics, pharmacy management and economics, rural pharmacy and pharmaceutical care.
The college is housed in the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center, a complex designed specifically for health education, research and practice. Pharmacy students have access to modern classrooms, laboratories and more than 350,000 volumes of pharmacy resource materials.
The University of Minnesota, a Big Ten University, is located in the beautiful and thriving cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, with easy access to a wide range of social, cultural, recreational and athletic activities.
