Investigate How Drugs Affect Cognition

There is an urgent need for research into the mechanisms underlying cognition and for the development of strategies that predict the drug responses of individual patients.

Breaking New Ground

The CCCN researchers are investigating drugs used to treat a variety of medical conditions, from mental illness to epilepsy to cancer, that have been associated clinically with adverse cognitive side effects. The work of the Center will guide new drug development, enhance the ability to personalize medication therapy and examine the ethical and public policy implications resulting from the use of cognitive-altering agents in pediatric and adult populations.
