Dawn Hood Named New Chief Financial Officer

Dawn Hood has accepted the position of chief financial officer for the College of Pharmacy, effective July 10, 2023.
Hood comes to the College of Pharmacy with tremendous knowledge and experience, particularly within the University of Minnesota. Since 1999, she has worked with the Center for Transportation Studies (CTS). In that time she held a number of positions, including manager of research development and contract coordination, and director of financial strategy and administration. Most recently, was serving as the associate director of CTS, a position she started in 2012.
Dawn’s experience in higher education, financial strategy and management, implementation of strategic direction, and staff engagement and development will all be of great benefit to our college community.
Hood replaces Rahfat Hussain, who joined the University’s Finance Operations Center in January.
