Biography

Bio

Christy started her PhD training in Social and Administrative Pharmacy in Fall 2016, after completing PharmD with a minor in biostatistics from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences.

During PharmD education, Christy was involved in several clinical research projects as a data analyst and/or investigator. She also served as a student pharmacist at a student-run, free clinic and provided primary care alongside medical students to a resource-limited patient population in New Jersey for 3 years. With her clinical research experiences and patient care experiences in diverse patient population, Christy developed her research interest in patient-centered outcomes research. Christy is also interested in evaluating and optimizing interdisciplinary team-based patient care, derived from her involvement in Inter-professional Education (IPE) clinical track and IPE courses for pain management and critical care in PharmD training.

Her overall research interests are to improve health outcomes by validating research methodology that incorporates clinical parameters, patient-specific factors, and certain health behaviors of interest and eventually to fit implementable decision analytic models to optimize clinical and/or patient outcomes in chronic disease management.
