Research Summary/Interests
Under the supervision of Dr. Robert Turesky, my research currently focusses on investigating (1) the carcinogenicity of tobacco-derived carcinogens in the human bladder. (2) The genotoxic and non-genotoxic mechanisms underlying the carcinogenicity of PhIP in human prostate. (3) The role of PhIP in neurotoxicity and Parkinson's disease. All these projects combine cell biology, toxicology, biochemistry, and analytical chemistry-based approaches including LC/MS and LC/MS based metabolomics.
