Ticketing
New this year! All attendees (excluding students, faculty, and staff participating in the event) are required to have tickets. Please include children and babies in your ticket order. Tickets are free of cost. The deadline for ordering tickets is May 7th!
Order tickets here! You will create an account to complete the order. Tickets will then be emailed to you as a PDF file, which you may print or show on your phone to enter Northrop. Please see this guide for detailed instructions on ordering tickets and creating an account.
If a ticket holder leaves the building, there will be no reentry. If guests leave to take photos post-ceremony, the building doors will be locked and reentry will not be allowed.
Security
New this year! All attendees entering the facility will be required to go through enhanced security. Security screening will include a bag check and walk-through magnetometers. The University bag policy will be in effect, meaning only clear bags and small purses will be allowed. Northrop will follow its prohibited item policy. Please read the following information carefully.
Bags
To provide a safer environment and significantly expedite entry into designated events, the size of bags that may be brought into Northrop will be limited. All graduating students will be provided a clear bag in accordance with the bag policy.
Only clear totes that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”, one-gallon resealable plastic bags, and small clutch purses that do not exceed 4.5” x 6.5” are allowed. Bags are subject to search, in addition to other security measures which vary by event/performance.
Bags needed for medical purposes are allowed into Northrop and subject to search. They must be “tagged” by the gate security supervisor.
Restricted Items
Weapons, including firearms, are not allowed in Northrop, per University policy.
Helium balloons, balls (beach balls, etc.), and confetti are not permitted inside the building.
Outside alcohol is prohibited, and per University policy, the unlawful or unauthorized use, possession, distribution, consumption, promotion, marketing, or sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on University property or as part of any University activity.
Drones, signs, flags, banners, and any other displayable items that could interfere with other audience members' experiences, including air horns and all other noisemaking devices, are prohibited.
Other items may be prohibited at the discretion of management.
Commencement flowers will be sold in the Level One lobby inside Northrop.

Where to go
Arrival for Graduates
All graduates will meet on the steps of Morrill Hall at the times listed above for a class photo, after which you will enter Northrop through the Ground West entrance on the Pleasant Street side of Northrop. College staff will be stationed at this entrance to verify and check-in graduates and faculty. After verification, you will be screened and wanded by security.
Arrival for Public Attendees
The Ground East entrance of Northrop and the security screening process will open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled ceremony start time. Theater doors will open 45-60 minutes prior to the start. Public entry will only be allowed through the Ground East entrance near Church Street; all other entry points will be locked or unavailable to public guests. Guests will need to show a digital or physical ticket to security prior to screening to gain access.
Arrival for Faculty and Staff
All graduates and faculty/staff should enter through the Ground West entrance on the Pleasant Street side of Northrop. College staff will be stationed at this entrance to verify and check-in graduates and faculty. After verification, you will be screened and wanded by security.
Accessibility
You will be asked if you or anyone in your party has any accessibility seating needs during the ticketing registration process. If you request accessible seating, you will be assigned a seat which will be indicated for you and your party inside the auditorium.

- There is a temporary passenger loading area for drop-off and pick-up with direct, no-elevation entrance into Northrop. It is located on the east side of Northrop.
