Biography

Dr. Carnes research program works to understand atrial fibrillation, mechanisms of ventricular arrhythmias, drug-induced proarrhythmias, and the role of oxidative stress in pathological conditions like heart failure. She has authored approximately 95 peer-reviewed articles and scholarly works in high-impact journals over the course of her career. In addition to her role in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology (ECP), she serves as the Vice President for Research & Innovation.
