Biography

Bio
 

Dr. Athena Cannon is a Clinical Pharmacist with the Federally Qualified Urban Health Network (FUHN) and practices comprehensive medication management (CMM) at two Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Minneapolis. She has a passion for providing interprofessional education, managing chronic conditions, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Cannon currently serves as the Metro Board Member for the Minnesota Pharmacists Association and Events and Education Committee Liaison. She is also a consultant and educator in sports pharmacy and the founding chair of the U.S. Sports Pharmacy Group, a national non-profit established to bring awareness of the pharmacists role in working with athletes.
 
Dr. Cannon is a co-advisor for the Phi Delta Chi Theta Chapter and periodically provides guest lectures and takes students on rotation.
 
In her spare time, she loves to support the local coffee and performing arts scene in Minneapolis/St. Paul. In the summer she loves walking around the lakes with her husband and two dogs, Gerald and Arvin.
