Academic Interests and Focus

I have a special interest in clinical microbiology, as my career in lab medicine has been primarily in a microbiology lab where I worked in bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, molecular microbiology,  and was the lead of the parasitology department. I also have a special interest in management and leadership as it pertains to the medical laboratory and the importance of interprofessional education opportunities within a healthcare system and within healthcare education.
