Giving in Support of the College of Pharmacy

Give to the Max Day 2024 Success

Give to the Max Daw #UMN Give logo

Every year the University of Minnesota hosts Give to the Max Day. The donations received on Give to the Max Day go to scholarship funds that directly support our students. This year, the pharmacy, medical laboratory science, and occupational therapy programs all participated.

Especially exciting this year was the pharmacy program earning its match and exceeding the goal of $20,000 to support the Pharmacy Scholarship Fund!

“We are so grateful for our generous alumni from the college’s medical laboratory science, occupational therapy, and pharmacy programs who supported students in our Give to the Max Day challenge and fundraising,” said Amy Polski Larson, chief development officer. “Thank you for all you do for our students!”

Honoring a Lasting Legacy

Raquel Rodriguez

Earlier this year, Dr. Raquel Rodriguez retired from the College of Pharmacy after a full career of service. Dr. Rodriguez has contributed to the college in many ways. She is an esteemed scientist, educator, and advisor; an early champion of equity, diversity, and inclusion; and a practitioner of health coaching. She is possibly most widely recognized for her many years of contributions to the college’s experiential education program and the hundreds of relationships she developed with students and preceptors.

The Dr. Raquel Rodriguez Rodriguez Scholarship is for a fourth-year University of Minnesota PharmD student. College leaders hope to award this scholarship in fall 2024. All are invited to make a gift to honor Dr. Rodriguez and her many contributions to pharmacy in Minnesota. If you have questions regarding the scholarship or making a gift, you can reach out Amy Polski Larson, chief development officer at the college.
