Faculty Recognition Award Recipient

James Cloyd

James Cloyd is a Morse Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor, the Lawrence C. Weaver Endowed Chair in Orphan Drug Development, and Director of the Center for Orphan Drug Research at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and is renowned in the area of epilepsy and clinical pharmacology. Jim has been a strong supporter of students and alumni through-out his time at the University of Minnesota. He is a former Century Mortar Club board member who was a speaker at the University of Minnesota’s Mini-College in Florida. According to his nominator, “…no one was more instrumental in my desire to further my education in pharmacy and pursue a PharmD degree than Dr. Cloyd. His skill in working with pharmacy and graduate students is unmatched. His commitment to patient care is steadfast.”

About the Award

The Faculty Recognition Award is for contributions to the Pharmacy Alumni Society/University of Minnesota Alumni Association, as well as alumni, the College of Pharmacy, the University of Minnesota and/or the profession of pharmacy. The recipient should demonstrate support and participate beyond his/her usual role. This award is sponsored by the Pharmacy Alumni Society.
