Dr. Olihe Okoro, co-director of community engagement and associate professor, built the foundation for a concordant mentorship program in the College of Pharmacy even before receiving a grant from the McKesson Foundation to fund the initiative. Working with an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) student, together they created a network of Black pharmacists across the state of Minnesota and initiated connections with Black student pharmacists.
As the College of Pharmacy celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Postgraduate (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program, the college community also celebrates a quarter-century of innovation, community and pioneering ambulatory care in Minnesota.
Dr. Joel Farley, professor, Peters Endowed Chair in Pharmacy Practice Innovation, and director of graduate studies in social and administrative pharmacy, has been named the interim head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems (PCHS), effective Sept. 4, 2024.
