Amy Pittenger receives the University of Minnesota 2020 President’s Award for Outstanding Service. 

The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy mourns the loss of Don Uden, PharmD, professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems, who died on Saturday, March 21.  

The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy has ranked third in this year’s U.S.News and World Report’s ranking of pharmacy schools.

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) will honor University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy Professors Claire Kolar, PharmD, PhD, and Kristin K. Janke, PhD, with the Rufus A. Lyman Award in July.

Carston Wagner, PhD, has been named the recipient of a 2019-20 University of Minnesota Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate and Professional Education.

Daniel Harki, PhD, has been awarded the Northrop Professorship at the University of Minnesota. 

Ron Siegel, ScD, has been named interim head of the Pharmaceutics Department, effective Feb. 17, 2020.

James Cloyd III, PharmD, has been selected to receive the 2020 Tyler Prize for Stimulation of Research. The award recognizes an individual for encouraging research by peers, students, fellows, residents and others via publications or by directing research, serving as a preceptor, or mentoring in any discipline of the pharmaceutical sciences.

Philip Portoghese, PhD, has been selected to receive the 2020 Research for Achievement Award in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The award recognizes and encourages outstanding meritorious achievement in any of the pharmaceutical sciences.
