UMN Rare Disease Day to Focus on Health Equity in the Rare Disease Community
The eleventh annual University of Minnesota Rare Disease Day, “Diversity in the Rare Disease Community: Challenges for Newborn Screening and Early-life Genetic Testing Equity,” will be held Thursday, March 2, both virtually and in-person at McNamara Alumni Center. The event will include vendor tables, a poster symposium and formal program featuring keynote speaker Amy Gaviglio, MS, CGC, a genetic counselor and public health genetics and rare disease consultant, and the founder of Connetics Consulting LLC. Institute for Therapeutics Discovery and Development Selected for Participation in a National Chemical Biology Consortium
The University of Minnesota is joining the Chemical Biology Consortium (CBC). The CBC, the discovery engine of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Experimental Therapeutics (NExT) Program, is administered through the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR), a federal national laboratory sponsored by the NCI, part of the National Institutes of Health, and currently operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. The CBC is a highly collaborative national drug discovery consortium. Learn more about this collaboration.
