Formulary Evaluations

SAPh Graduate Faculty member, Dr. Paul Langley is a health economist who strives to develop new ideas for formulary evaluations of pharmaceutical products and devices. His premise is that claims made to support pharmaceutical products and devices must be credible, evaluable and reproducible. Claims must be presented in a testable form that allows feedback to formulary committees as part of initial product assessments and ongoing disease area and therapeutic reviews --- and applies equally to claims for comparative clinical effectiveness as well as to claims for cost-effectiveness.
