The University of Minnesota Occupational Therapy Program is proud to offer its OT Refresher/Re-Entry Course, a nationally renowned hybrid program (two-part learning experience) designed to support occupational therapists returning to practice.
The course has been created to provide maximum flexibility for learners. Participants begin the course in an online, asynchronous and self-paced supported environment to learn about current evidence and intervention approaches and later join their peers in an on campus session to practice hands-on skills. Learners should plan to complete the online portion of learning before arriving to the face-to-face labs.
Registration for the 2025 Hybrid Refresher / Re-entry course will open on January 6, 2025. The online portion will begin on May 5, 2025, along with a Zoom-based kickoff meeting. Our face-to-face sessions will be held on the University of Minnesota campus in July 2025. Face-to-face lab dates are: Thursday, July 17 - Saturday, July 19 all day, and half day on Sunday, July 20.
NBCOT Professional Development Units (PDU) - 64 PDUs
AOTA Continuing Education Units - 64 Contact hours - 6.4 CEUs (this includes 40 hours of online course work and an additional 24 hours face to face)
Cost: Course fee for both online portion and 4-day face to face labs: $1,599.00.

At this 4 day onsite experience, learners will engage in hands-on activities as well highly interactive small group activities around the following topics:
The OT Practice Framework; The Occupational Profile; OT Outcome Measures; Documentation and Goal writing; Wheelchair and mobility lab; Splinting lab; OT Practice with Older Adults across settings; Practice in Mental Health across settings; Practice with Children and Youth across settings; Driving; Health Care Systems; Policy; Returning to practice.
