Occupational Therapy (OT) Teaching Specialist

The University of Minnesota is seeking candidates for a part time Occupational Therapy (OT) Teaching Specialist position. Teaching specialists are practitioners who will support the instruction of individual courses, as laboratory instructors and/ or providing online instructional support. These appointments are short-term with typically small work effort percentages. We accept applications continuously throughout the year.

OT Client Teaching Specialist

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • History of receiving occupational therapy services for at least fourteen sessions
  • Demonstrated skill in communicating with adults with or without accommodations
  • Completed bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft word  and web-based communication systems

Desired Qualifications:

  • History of teaching others (within higher education preferred)
  • Experience using online learning platforms

About the Job

Duties: To support instruction in occupational therapy courses from the perspective of one who has past received occupational therapy services.

Part-time, ad hoc teaching specialist position.

The Center for Allied Health Programs has locations in both Rochester and the Twin Cities. A position may be available on both campuses, the Rochester campus only, or the Twin Cities campus only depending on the needs of the department and the selected candidate.
