Dr. Kartha was recently honored by Engage Health as a Rare Disease Difference Maker for her positive impact in the rare disease community. The person who nominated her noted, "Dr. Kartha has created an undergraduate course which is inspiring future med students, researchers, and medically-interested individuals to explore the impacts of rare disease and how underserved these communities are underserved within healthcare, along with ways that we can work to improve their healthcare services."
