Medicinal Chemistry Faculty Awarded College of Pharmacy Special Merit Awards

Each year, the College of Pharmacy presents Special Merit Awards to faculty who have made significant contributions during the past year to the research, teaching, and service missions of the College and University at large. Medicinal Chemistry is proud to present our faculty who were chosen for this important recognition.
In the area of research:
Dr. Gunda Georg is recognized for excellence in scientific publishing and establishing the clinical development of the first male contraceptive.
Dr. Carrie Haskell-Luevano is recognized for excellence in scientific publishing while recovering from catastrophic laboratory damage and disruption.
In the area of teaching:
Dr. David Ferguson is recognized for being instrumental in determining the structure for post-course remediation and early interventions for first-year PharmD students.
Dr. Elizabeth Ambrose is recognized for being selected Teacher of the Year by second-year PharmD students on the Twin Cities campus.
In the area of service:
Dr. Daniel Harki is recognized for outstanding contributions to departmental, collegiate, university, and professional society service.
