Exploring virtual reality and 3D printing for occupational therapy

In March, occupational therapy (OT) students visited the Virtual Reality Studio and Makerspace to explore how the technologies can aid individuals with mobility impairments. Virtual reality, for instance, can strengthen reflexes and coordination skills and assist with memory recollection and memorization of routes and routines. 3D printing allows for occupational therapists to print less expensive assistive devices.
