The American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE) announced that Dr. Kristin Janke, associate dean of assessment and quality, will serve as their next editor-in-chief. The journal is an official scholarly publication of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), intended to advance pharmacy education both domestically and abroad.
“I am honored to work with the AJPE Editors and Editorial Advisory Board in continuing the journal’s history of leadership in supporting pharmacy educators in evident-informed decision making,” Janke said. “There is exceptional talent in the journal’s editorial team and we will continue disseminating the academy’s best scholarship in education. With AACP’s dedication to quality publishing, we are well positioned for an exciting future!”
Janke will assume her new role, in which she will “drive the strategic vision of the Journal, explore emerging areas that shape the future of the profession, and champion cutting-edge research in pharmaceutical education,” on January 1, 2026, according to the AACP press release.
“Dr. Janke is a recognized educational scholar and her appointment to this very prestigious position highlights the educational expertise and innovation at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy,” said Interim Dean Amy Pittenger. “We are excited to see how Dr. Janke shapes the next chapter of AJPE.”
