Dr. Elizabeth Ambrose Awarded U.S. Department of Energy Grant

Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Ambrose and her laboratory on being awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy!  Entitled "Designing Countermeasures and Probing Mechanisms of Chemical and Biological Warfare Agents Via Structural Analysis,” the grant supports Dr. Ambrose’s continued investigation into the mechanisms of these compounds as part of her research program.

The award allows the Ambrose Lab to utilize a dedicated, full-service Macromolecular Crystallography beamline at the Argonne National Laboratory for x-ray synchrotron beamtime and crystallographic structure determination. The equipment is also currently used to support Eli Lilly’s drug discovery efforts – and we are proud to have our team work alongside experts from one of the titans of the pharmaceutical industry.

We are thrilled to see our labs awarded federal funding, and we are proud to congratulate Dr. Ambrose and her team for their hard work. Way to go!
