Chloe Cox

The Department congratulates first-year graduate student Chloe Cox on being awarded a highly competitive 3M Science and Technology Graduate Fellowship. The multi-year fellowship provides support to exceptional incoming PhD students in science and engineering.

You can read more about the 3M Fellowship here.

Before joining our graduate program, Chloe received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. She also fittingly worked as a pharmacy technician during her time as an undergrad.

Chloe’s research background is primarily in identifying and developing antibiotic adjuvants to treat ESAKPE pathogens. In her undergraduate lab, she specialized in applying biochemical and microbiological techniques to understand the effects of her lab's compounds on a panel of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.

When asked about the achievement, Chloe had this to say: “I'm honored to have been selected for this fellowship and am grateful to the department for recognizing my potential in this program. I'm especially excited to have this continued support throughout the first few years of my graduate career.”

We are excited for you, too, Chloe, and thrilled at this accomplishment!
