Rahfat Hussain Named New Chief Financial Officer
Rahfat Hussain has accepted the position of chief financial officer for the College of Pharmacy, effective Aug. 1, 2022.
Hussain comes to the College of Pharmacy with a wealth of knowledge and experience, particularly within the University of Minnesota. Over the last fourteen years he has worked with the College of Liberal Arts as both a senior accountant and finance manager, and served as finance analyst in the Office of the Provost. Rahfat has also worked with the School of Dentistry as a senior accountant and most recently as their controller and director of financial reporting.
Rahfat’s senior executive leadership experience in higher education has helped him cultivate passion for organizational behavior and management efficiency. He is data-driven and enthusiastic about data presentation for diverse audiences. His pursuit of continuous improvement and opportunities to add value make him a good fit for the college..
Hussain replaces Jeff Thomas, who has retired after serving as chief financial officer for the College of Pharmacy for nearly 14 years.
