Graduate Students Awarded National Science Foundation Fellowships
Congratulations to four of our graduate students who have been recognized by the National Science Foundation for their applications to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program! Brandi McKnight (Doran lab) and Katherine Jones (Harki Lab, Chemistry) both received the 2019 GRFP award and Caroline Buchholz (Pomerantz lab) and Nicole Bentz (Wagner lab) received honorable mentions for their applications.
The fellowship program is highly competitive, receiving over 12,000 applications a year. It recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees and are anticipated to become knowledge experts who can contribute significantly to research, teaching, and innovations in science and engineering.
