First-Year Student, Katelyn France, Competing in Collegiate Inventors Competition
France’s invention is a Medical Assistance via Quick Response (MAQR) bracelet designed for individuals with chronic diseases, allergies and disabilities who wear medical emergency bracelets. The technology uses a quick response code (QR code) so that it can be paired with a smartphone and QR code scanning capabilities.
The competition helps participants take their inventions “to the next level through networking, marketing exposure and mentorship.” It is designed to showcase, recognize and reward college students for their research and discovery.
