Dr. Daniel Harki Assumes Position as Director of Graduate Studies
On July 1st of 2020, Dr. Daniel Harki, became the director of graduate studies (DGS) for the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, assuming the role from Dr. Barry Finzel who served as DGS for three years.
The medicinal chemistry program has grown in its size but importantly also in its reputation. It is one of, if not the top graduate programs in medicinal chemistry. Under Dr. Harki’s leadership, and with the support of the program’s faculty, students will continue to excel in their pursuit of diverse careers in pharmaceutical sciences.
“Dan is very passionate about graduate education and he will be an outstanding DGS,” adds Dr. Gunda Georg, head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry.
