Contraceptive Discovery, Development, and Behavioral Research Center Launches

Dr. Gunda Georg is the Principle Investigator of a $8.3M National Institutes of Health U54 Center Grant titled Contraceptive Discovery, Development, and Behavioral Research Center (2017-2021). In addition to Drs. Gunda Georg, Leigh Allen, Jon Hawkinson, Michael Walters, and Henry Wong - all from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota - the Center involves an additional five interdisciplinary groups that are involved in the discovery and development of non-hormonal male contraceptive agents and the investigation of contraceptive use. The team members are Dr. Debra Wolgemuth from Columbia University in New York, Dr. Jun Qi from Dana-Faber Cancer Institute in Boston, Dr. Pablo Visconti from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Dr. Jennifer Barber from the University of Michigan, and Ernst Schönbrunn from the Moffitt Cancer Center.
