Dr. Olihe Okoro is the recipient of the 2022 President’s Community Engaged Scholar Award. The highest honor the University gives annually to one faculty or staff member for exemplary community-engaged scholarship that embodies the University of Minnesota’s definition of public engagement.

Stephen W. Schondelmeyer

Dr. Stephen Schondelmeyer received the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award (PharmD) and became a member of the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Pharmacy Hall of Distinguished Alumni (HODA). Dr. Schondelmeyer was also interviewed for the story, “Online Pharmacies Can Help You Save Big on Prescription Drugs."

Dr. Carston R. Wagner has been named the new head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry.

Dr. Angela Birnbaum received the AACP’s  3rd Annual Graduate Education Special Interest Group (SIG) Achievement Award in 2022 in recognition of her excellence in graduate education and mentoring.

Dr. Joel Farley was interviewed for the story, “Improving Patient Outcomes Through Pharmacist-Led Comprehensive Medication Management.”

Dr. Gunda Georg was interviewed for the story, “Roe v. Wade Overturn Could Force Male Birth Control Pill Development.”

Dr. Jean Moon was recognized by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy for her excellent contributions to the Ambulatory Care Self-Assessment Program.

Dr. Anthony Olson was interviewed for the story, “Medical respite provides a place for unhoused people to land after a hospital stay.”

Dr. Jon Shommer is the host mentor for Jess Fairbanks from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as part of American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS) Section Summer Research Exchange Mentorship Program.
