PharmD Curriculum - At A Glance
The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy offers a professional school education that allows its PharmD students quite a bit of freedom to pursue their individual interests within their future profession. Courses within the PharmD program are offered by five departments:
Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology conducts groundbreaking and critical research in pharmacogenomics, neuropharmacology, drug metabolism, pharmacometrics, and specific therapeutic areas.
Medicinal Chemistry involves the application of both chemical and biological principles to investigations between molecular structure and biological activity.
Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems works to advance the practice of pharmaceutical care and its role in the health care system for the benefit of patients and society.
Pharmaceutics studies the quantitative aspects of drug delivery and involves the design, development, and evaluation of drugs in combination with an appropriate dosage form.
Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences is comprised of basic, clinical, social, and behavioral scientists with expertise in both pharmaceutical sciences and practice.
