The class size each year is approximately 168 students, with 60 students at the Duluth campus and 108 at the Twin Cities campus.

For Fall 2017 admission, the University of Minnesota received 624 PharmCAS applications. Of those, 343 applicants were interviewed, and 73% of all interviewed applicants were offered admission!

The average amount of paid work experience in pharmacy or health care for students starting the PharmD program is about 22 months, full or part-time.
When reviewing these statistics, it is important to keep in mind that the admissions committee considers our 8 selection criteria using a holistic process. Academic achievement includes many factors; applicants who have been admitted with a low GPA or PCAT score have typically demonstrated strong academic potential in other areas of their academic background.

Success of Graduates
Post-Graduation Placement Rate 2015: At the time of graduation in 2015, out of 117 graduates who completed a college survey, 46% found employment, 34% entered residency, and 3% will go on to a fellowship or graduate education.
