Become a Member

There are no costs to becoming a member of RICH.

There are two levels of membership:

  1. Full Member (Research or Community)
  2. Affiliate Member

Full Member: Research Member

Description: Researchers who are academic and non-academic, community, healthcare provider, tribal and non-tribal.

To apply as a Research Member:

  • Complete membership form below
  • Provide two tribal community references who can attest to your involvement in conducting ethical and culturally-appropriate research in Indigenous communities
  • Provide any relevant Indigenous publication references, if applicable

Full Member: Community Member

Description: Community members interested in learning more about research and working with research members in the future.

To apply as a Community Member:

  • Complete membership form below
  • Provide a tribal community reference who can attest to your involvement in the community
  • Provide any relevant involvement in community activities or the like

Benefits for Full members (Research and Community)

  • Become part of the RICH listserv and receive information on upcoming events, research trainings, and partnership opportunities
  • Opportunities to network with others conducting American Indian/Indigenous health research
  • Opportunities to list research interests and expertise and connect with others in American Indian/ Indigenous research projects across the U.S. and internationally
  • Opportunities to mentor (ex. academic mentoring of students, community member mentoring academic/researchers, researchers mentoring one another)

Affiliate Member

Open to individuals (tribal and non-tribal) interested in improving American Indian/Indigenous healthcare through research.
