Director

Dr. Sury is Professor and William & Mildred Peters Endowed Chair in the Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Minnesota. He obtained his PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of British Columbia. His research interests are in the broad area of pharmaceutical materials science. His current research projects are in the following areas:

  1. Characterization and stabilization of amorphous pharmaceuticals. Evaluate the influence of of molecular mobility on the stability of amorphous drugs and dispersions.
  2. Understand the role of processing and storage induced phase transitions on the properties of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
  3. Develop novel applications of powder X-ray diffractometry for characterizing pharmaceutical dosage forms. 

Associate Director

Dr. Prabha is Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics and Associate Director of Center for Translational Drug Delivery, College of Pharmacy, University of Minnesota.

She obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and an MBA from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.

Dr. Prabha has over 10 years of pharmaceutical and biotech industrial experience. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota in 2012, Dr. Prabha served as Senior Manager for Formulation and Process Development, Valeant Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Prabha’s primary expertise is in dosage form design, formulation and process development, technical operations and technology transfer.
