Alicia Ronk is a second year pharmacy student expected to graduate in May 2015 with her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is originally from Waukesha, WI. Alicia received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2011 from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL, where she majored in Professional Biology and minored in Computational Mathematics. She played NCAA Division II soccer for 4 years at Florida Tech. Alicia also worked in a biochemistry lab at Florida Tech with an emphasis on drug design of Alzheimer’s Disease Imaging Drugs.
With dedication to improve as a clinical driven pharmacist who serves the community, Alicia is involved in various activities to help achieve this. She is in the Phi Delta Chi fraternity and is a pharmaceutical care clinician at the Philip’s Neighborhood Clinic. Alicia is a pharmacy intern/extern at North Memorial Hospital in Robinsdale, MN with focus on medicine reconciliation in the emergency department.
Alicia is interested in leadership roles in clinical pharmacy. She believes leadership is a very important role pharmacists must engage themselves in to advocate for their career. Alicia is focused on getting more students involved in the Leadership Program and other leadership opportunities at the College of Pharmacy, in order to create progressive, positive change in the college and for the profession.
