Summary

Dr. Li was trained as a pathologist and a molecular, cellular, and developmental biologist with emphasis on pathogenesis of lipid disorders and Alzheimer’s disease. Since 2000, Dr. Li has developed multiple research programs investigating the pathogenic and therapeutic connections between lipid metabolism and Alzheimer’s disease using transgenic and knockout mouse models. A combination of genetic, pharmacological, behavioral, electrophysiological, proteomic/prenylomic, and other biochemical approaches are employed to conduct translational research in Dr. Li’s laboratory.
