Summary

Julie Johnson graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy with a B.S. in 1981 and a PharmD in 2006. She practiced the University of Minnesota Hospital, Snyder Drug, and Borgstrom Pharmacy during her career. She owned and practiced at Blomberg Pharmacy in Falcon Heights, MN from 1986-2006. She served as the Executive Vice President and CEO of the Minnesota Pharmacists Association from 2000-2013.

In her profession she has served on the executive committee of the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations and President of the Minnesota Pharmacists Association.

Currently she is the Associate Dean for Professional and External Relations at the College of Pharmacy and an associate professor in the Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems Department. She leads the division in supporting alumni relations, awards, and activities of the college and its constituent groups. She coordinates and promotes community engagement initiatives and programs and serves as the Global Education and Research Director for the college and liaison of the Academic Health Center and University wide global programs and advisory groups.
