Summary

Jennell co-directs the pharmacy law course for the College of Pharmacy. She is an equity partner at the Twin Cities based law firm, Carlson Caspers. Jennell counsels clients and tries complex lawsuits in a variety of industries with a passion for health care. She has served as trial counsel in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and Southern District of New York, and as counsel for many lawsuits that have settled prior to trial. She focuses her law practice on intellectual property (patents, trade secrets, trademarks) and health care litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jennell worked as a retail pharmacist and co-founded a pharmacy benefit consulting company where she counseled large employers during implementation of their first drug formularies and pharmacy benefit management strategies. She also assisted a pharmaceutical market expert with lawsuits relating to pharmaceutical pricing, antitrust, the Hatch Waxman Act, and misappropriations of trade secrets.
