Dr. Pandey’s research is primarily focused on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) based molecular Imaging for early and noninvasive diagnosis of various diseases. His research entails, design and development of novel Positron Emission Tomography probes for neurodegenerative diseases, psychiatric disorders, cardiac disorders and various cancers.

His research projects involve multi-step organic synthesis of various biomarkers, production of various radio isotopes like C-11, F-18, Ga-68, Zr-89 and Cu-64/61, automated labeling of biomarkers with appropriate radio-isotope to meet the biological half-life, extensive quality control analysis, and preclinical and clinical evaluation of developed probes in animal models and in humans.

Dr. Pandey is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
