Dr. Undeberg joins the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Minnesota Duluth from Washington State University’s College of Pharmacy where she was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy from 2004-08. Her current practice site is the Duluth Family Practice Center where she is introducing and providing medication therapy management services for patients. This clinic setting is the training center for the rural practice family medicine physician residents, and Dr. Undeberg is advancing the concept of continuity of care, appropriate medication prescribing and medication monitoring, and disease state management in this educational setting.

Dr. Undeberg is actively involved as a spokeswoman for WomenHeart, the national coalition for women with heart disease, and advocating for the prevention and early detection, accurate diagnosis, and proper treatment of heart disease in women. Besides her interest in managing heart disease in women, she also is investigating the commonalities between the early detection and prevention of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes in the general population as it relates to sustainable health and wellness models and the involvement of the community, particularly rural, pharmacist in this matter.

Practice experiences for Dr. Undeberg include the compounding of unique, individualized medications for human and veterinary patients; pharmacist-manager of the WalMart Pharmacy in Moses Lake, WA; community and clinic pharmacist for Pioneer Medical Center Pharmacy in Moses Lake, WA, Odessa Drug in Odessa, WA, and Sid’s Pharmacy in Pullman, WA; and a consultant pharmacist for The Courtyard assisted living facility in Colfax, WA.
