5th Annual Women Impacting Healthcare Conference
The 5th Annual Women Impacting Healthcare conference “Celebrating Leadership: The Sweet Spot for Interprofessional Leadership Teams” was held Nov. 11, 2016 on the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus. The conference was designed to be a collaborative opportunity for those across the entire spectrum of health care professions to gather, continue their leadership journey, and network with colleagues to build a better patient experience.
Speakers addressed various topics including building dynamic collaborative interprofessional teams, speaking and listening effectively in the midst of diverse skills and priorities, and creating a culture of practice excellence for better patient experiences.
“The Women Impacting Healthcare conference represents more than just a gathering of leaders,” said Associate Professor Kerry Fierke, who developed and directs the annual Women Impacting Healthcare conference. “Over these past years it’s become an opportunity to develop and support leaders as they embark on the changes within healthcare. The conference has been a great venue for practitioners and students to share ideas, including the common desire to grow as leaders and impact overall patient health.”
