A MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN
Dear Alumni and Friends,
Throughout 2018, the College of Pharmacy has held a number of events to mark our 125th anniversary and other milestones, including the 15th anniversary of our expansion to Duluth. Thank you to everyone who has attended these events.
To wrap-up our yearlong celebration, we will host a “Big Bash” on Friday, Oct. 5, 4:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest (immediately following the MPhA Annual Learning Networking Event). This free event is open to everyone – I hope you will join us. Learn more and RSVP for the Big Bash.
I am extremely proud of our college’s 125-year history of innovative education, pioneering research, and interdisciplinary practice development to meet the diverse needs of the people of Minnesota and the world.
While today we are celebrating our rich history of innovation and leadership, I want to assure you that we will continue to strive for excellence in preparing the next generation of future pharmacy providers and leaders, developing and promoting new interdisciplinary approaches to healthcare, and conducting cutting edge research to tackle society’s grand challenges.
Over the next few months our college will wrap-up our work on our five-year strategic plan. While the bulk of the work is being done by our faculty and staff, there will be opportunities for you to provide feedback on what I expect to be a bold vision for the College of Pharmacy. Many of you have already shared with me your thoughts and suggestions for our future, for which I am truly grateful. The insights you provide are invaluable to me and everyone at the college.
I want to thank you for your support and the role you play in making our college one of the best in the nation.
Best wishes,
Lynda S. Welage, Dean
