Residency and Fellowship Programs

The difference between fellowships and residencies is best described as how much emphasis is placed on exacting research versus clinical skills. Residents spend more time honing clinical skills while fellows devote much of their time to improving research skills.

The College of pharmacy offers the following residency and fellowship programs:

The Ambulatory Care Residency Program

The Post-Pharm.D. Fellowship Program

A PGY1 residency program focused on preparing outstanding clinicians poised to lead pharmacy services in ambulatory care settings.  We are a large, multisite residency program providing education opportunities across Minnesota.

The post-graduate fellowship programs in pharmacy practice prepare clinical scientists to become leaders in drug research.

Fellowship opportunities exist with the Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology Department in the area of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and through the Antibiotic Pharmacodynamic Research Institute.
