Organization:
SuperiorHealth Center has provided complete, personal family medical care since 1977. Every member of our experienced and caring staff is committed to meeting our patients’ health care needs. We do this, in part, through the use of the Personal Care Plan – a roadmap for patients to help them achieve their health goals. Patient goals may include anything from preparing for a marathon, to getting up a flight of stairs. Regardless of the patient’s goal, SuperiorHealth Center is available to help through the use of a Care Team – a group of health care providers in which each person plays a specific role in the overall health of the patient.
The use of Personal Care Plans and Care Teams allows us to more effectively accomplish our goals and demonstrate our value of being actively involved with the health and well-being of our patients. We seek to champion their needs with respect, compassion and dignity.
SuperiorHealth Centerservices include adult medicine, routine obstetrics and gynecology, newborns and pediatrics, adolescent health, geriatric medicine, office surgery, preventive medicine, sports medicine, chiropractic care, occupational health and workers’ compensation. The clinics also offer on-site lab and X-ray services, as well as a full-service pharmacy.

Co-Site Coordinators:
Keri Naglosky received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2006. She was SuperiorHealth Center’s first ambulatory care pharmacy practice resident co-precepted with SHC and the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. During her time at SuperiorHealth Center she has dispensed medications in the pharmacy, managed patients in the anticoagulation service, helped develop and implement asthma education and medication therapy management (MTM) services, participated in quality improvement research regarding anticoagulation therapy, precepted pharmacy students, and provided continuing education for nursing staff. Upon completion of her residency in June of 2007, Keri joined the SuperiorHealth Center team as a full-time Clinical Pharmacist sharing time between all three clinic sites where she provides pharmacy services including education, anticoagulation management, and medication therapy management.
Roger McDannold received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University Of Minnesota College Of Pharmacy in 1989, and joined First Plan of Minnesota that same year. His time was split between dispensing in the Community Health Center pharmacy (a retail pharmacy in Two Harbors), Lakeview Memorial Hospital Pharmacy (the only hospital in Lake County, MN), and as a consultant Pharmacist for the 105 nursing home residents in Two Harbors split between two facilities. In 1992 he accepted the position as Director of Pharmacy for First Plan of Minnesota. Under his direction the retail pharmacy practice became the focus of the pharmacy operations and FirstSolutions now owns and operates 3 retail pharmacies known as SuperiorHealth Pharmacy. He was the 1997 recipient of the Distinguished Young Pharmacist award. He is responsible for the prescription processing department, the clinical pharmacy department, which was created in response to the Residency Program developed by Ann Yapel in 2006, and the prescription benefit management for the nearly 18,000 members of First Plan. He always believed there had to be more to Pharmacy than just counting and pouring and attempted to push this philosophy throughout his daily activities. Becoming involved with precepting Pharmacy students led SuperiorHealth to where we are today with the residency program. We will continue to do everything we can to shape the profession from this unique place we work, within both the payer and provider worlds in our rural communities.
Additional Preceptors:
Ann Yapel received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2001, and joined the SuperiorHealth Center team that same year. Her time is split between managing patients’ anticoagulation therapy, precepting pharmacy residents and students, and developing / implementing asthma education and medication therapy management services. As pharmacy services expand at SuperiorHealth Center, Ann will be splitting time between the clinics focusing on education, anticoagulation management, and medication therapy management services.
