The Doctor of Pharmacy degree program educates students to become pharmacists who are generalist pharmacy practitioners and prepares them to identify, resolve and prevent drug related problems, and learn to provide patient care to achieve positive drug therapy outcomes that improve the quality of a patient's life.  Our students are:

  • Prepared for additional training in specialty practice, non-patient care roles, or research
  • Leaders within the profession and healthcare through innovative education, management, and practice improvements
  • Providers of public health services related to drug therapy, such as immunizations, health screens, and medication safety initiatives

Our program is ranked third in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. See News Release.

The Pharm.D. Program is offered in the scenic lakeside city of Duluth and the thriving city of Minneapolis.  The curriculum is the same on both campuses and all students have access to the expertise of internationally known faculty on both the Duluth and Twin Cities campuses.

  • The Pharm.D. program's graduation rate is 97%
  • Pharm.D. graduates' first-time licensure exam pass rate is 99%
  • The Pharm.D. program's placement rate is 100%
