Teaching Philosophy

Target focuses on offering students a great Target Brand experience. We do this by placing students with pharmacists who truly have a passion and a desire to teach retail pharmacy. In addition, Target offers students a curriculum especially designed for APPE student externs. As part of this curriculum, we focus on all of our guest’s pharmacy needs, in particular, over-the-counter guest care.

Student Roles and Responsibilities
Depending on rotation type, students will have the opportunity to work with community pharmacists in the retail setting, travel with regional pharmacy operational leaders to learn more about pharmacy management, and participate in special projects.
