APPE Structure
We are in the process of expanding our patient care services. We currently offer influenza immunizations. We are in the beginning stages of developing a MTM program. We have opportunites for students to complete CMR (comprehensive medication reviews) with Medicare Part D patients and bill for those services through Outcomes Pharmaceutical Health Care and Mirixia Corporation. Students will be involved in all the practical aspects of providing patient care. This involves the development and implementation of our MTM services, including the financial, business, and marketing plans. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about retail chain management, including pharmacy operations and personal management. Students will be splitting their time with approximately 50% community pharmacy practice and 50% ambulatory care.
Student Roles and Responsibilities
Student will participate in all established pharmacy services, including dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
Students will be involved in developing and implementing new patient care services, including MTM services, health screenings, and diabetic education.
